This will be my second time going to LA Comic Con and I am so excited!!!
My first experience last year was a great time! I got to meet some fresh faces and network with some amazing artist! I'll be sure to document it much better this time, as there was just so much to do and see that I didn't take as many pictures. Additionally, with me manning the table for nearly the entire time, I didn't get a spare moment to capture as much of my experience as I would have liked.
I got to see some of my convention friends and I surprised Phil Lamar!!! He passed by my booth and I had tried so hard to keep my cool and not completely fan-girl, but in actuality, I'm sure I failed. I know I probably came on a little strong, even though all I did was call his attention by saying his name. He turned, gave me a quick genuine smile & wave, before continuing on to wherever her was going. He nearly passed in a blur so he had to have been in a rush and I didn't want to keep him, but even still; being that close to someone who has much such an impact on my childhood was really cool and I'll always remember that!
The other cool thing that happened was that an acquaintance of mine happened upon my both and introduced me to the artist behind the King of the Hill show!!!!!!!!!! It was nice to chat with him as he was a laid back, chill individual. I bought a print and he signed it! It was another highlight of the weekend.
I'm not sure what 2025 will have in store for me this year, but I'm hoping to make new acquaintances, meet and network with other artist, and introduce new readers to my work! I enjoy meeting people in general and it's always a good time! If you have plans to go to LA Comic Con this year, please come and say hello!!
